Free MOT re-test within two weeks
All cars and light commercials three years old or more must have a valid MOT certificate by law. Tests are required every year (more often for taxis).
To keep your MOT date the same each year, you can have your vehicle tested up to one calendar month before your current MOT expires.
Regal Motors is a DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency) Class IV MOT testing centre for cars and light commercials. We are also Trading Standards approved:

- We will take good care of your car and alert you to any safety-critical repairs needed
- Failed the MOT? We will alert you promptly and advise on any repairs needed (we will not do any work without your permission)
- Free MOT retest within two weeks.
Regal has three DVSA approved Nominated Testers, a dedicated MOT ramp and three priority parking spaces for MOT customers.
MOT checks on diesel cars and vans
Got a diesel? We take extra care when performing MOT emission tests on diesel vehicles.
To comply with the regulations, garages must test diesel engines at higher revs. For this reason, our technicians will ask you beforehand: when was your car’s cambelt (if it has one) last changed?
